This was our inaugural season of the Wild Photo Adventures PBS TV series. Even though the learning curve was hard and sometimes painful we were able to complete the award winning season in record time. Our travels took us to some amazing places with tons of wildlife to photograph. Topics we discussed are: focus, composition, exposure, camera settings, ISO, shutter speed, f stops, aperture, locations and lighting, lens, camera and tripod choices for wildlife and nature photography, wildlife behavior and photography ethics. Locations and subjects covered: Waterfowl: ducks, geese and swans at Lake Mattamuskeet and Pocosin Lakes NWR in North Carolina, Songbirds in NC, Burrowing Owls and wading birds in Florida, Osprey on Lake Marion SC, shore birds and monkeys in the low country of South Carolina, white-tailed deer and black bear in Cades Cove Tennessee, mountain landscapes in the Great Smoky Mountains, waterfalls in NC, SC, TN, Manatees in Crystal River FL, alligators, wading birds and shore birds in the A.C.E.
